Welcome to Lesson 8 of the Second Module in the PROP365 Academy. In this session, we’ll focus on Closed Trades and how to view, filter, and report on them inside the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) platform. Understanding your past trades is crucial for improving your performance and managing risk over time.
You can view all your closed trades in the Terminal Window, under the Account History tab. This section lists every completed trade and provides detailed information, such as:
To access more options, right-click anywhere inside the Account History tab. This opens a drop-down menu with useful tools for managing your data.
You can select specific timeframes using the four default options in the drop-down menu or manually define a custom period. At the bottom of this menu, you’ll also find column adjustment tools that let you customize what data you want to see per trade.
Whether you want a quick look at your recent activity or a deep dive into monthly results, MT4 has you covered.
One of the most powerful features of the Account History tab is the Report Generator. You can export your data to HTML or Excel format and review it anytime.
The report provides a full account summary including:
These metrics are essential for evaluating your trading results and risk exposure.
While there’s no built-in MT4 close all button, you can use scripts or expert advisors to close all positions in MT4 with one click. Similarly, if you’re wondering how to close half position in MT4, you can manually modify the order volume when closing the trade.
Understanding how to view and interpret your closed trades in MT4 is critical for refining your trading strategy. Use the Account History tab and MT4 reporting features to monitor your performance, adjust your approach, and scale your trading with confidence. Sign up with PROP365 today
