Welcome to Lesson 10 of the Second Module at PROP365 Academy.This lesson covers all about MetaTrader 4 charts, focusing on how to manage and customize the chart window—the central panel displaying historical data of currency pairs.
Navigating the Chart Window and Drop-Down Menu
The MetaTrader 4 charts window is the largest panel in the center of MT4. Right-clicking this panel opens a menu with several options:
- Trading: Open trades or set pending orders based on the mouse cursor’s position on the chart. (Pending orders will be covered separately.)
- Expert Advisors: Adjust, remove, or backtest EAs attached to your chart.
- Templates: Create, delete, and manage chart templates for quick setup.
- Refresh: Update the chart display to show the latest data.
- Grid: Toggle the grid display on or off.
- Volumes: View market activity volume indirectly.
- Save As Picture / Print: Capture or print screenshots of your charts for records or analysis.
