Terminal Window Overview – Part 1

Where to Find the MT4 Terminal Window
The window is located at the bottom of the MetaTrader 4 interface. It serves as your control panel, giving access to critical trading and account information. If it's not visible, you can open the terminal window in MT4 by pressing Ctrl + T or selecting View > Terminal from the top menu.
Key Tabs in the MT4 Terminal Window
The terminal window includes several tabs. Each plays a specific role in helping you monitor and manage your trading activities:
Trade Tab
- Displays all active and pending orders.
- Lets you track real-time performance of open trades.
Account History Tab
- Shows closed positions and their outcomes.
- Useful for reviewing past performance and identifying patterns.
Alerts Tab
- Allows you to set alerts or signals for specific market events.
- Ideal for monitoring when price levels are hit or conditions are met.
News & Mailbox Tabs
- These tabs provide news updates and broker messages, respectively.
- Stay informed without leaving the MT4 platform.
Journal Tab
- Displays a log of all platform activities, including logins, executions, and errors.
- Valuable for tracking platform behavior and troubleshooting issues.
